Three new faces join the RIDBA board

RIDBA has welcomed three new members to its board for 2026/27.

Chris Exley, of Briarwood, (pic, left), Samantha Jones (pic, centre), and Ryan Brown, of Robinsons Group, (pic, right) joined at the association’s AGM in September.

Ryan joins the board as a frame manufacturer representative, alongside James Anthony, of MD Anthony, and Steve Butler, of North West Industrial Services.

Chris Exley, key accounts manager at Briarwood, joins as a supplier representative, replacing Oliver Janes. Chris will represent supplier members alongside Paul Grimshaw, of Kingspan, and Mike Hammond, of SIG Building Solutions (Steadmans).

The board will also benefit from the considerable industry experience of Samantha Jones, who joins as a co-opted member. Now working in a freelance capacity, Sam will be a familiar face to many, having spent several years within the sector.

The appointments come as Stephen Jaques begins his tenure as RIDBA chairman, taking over from Simon Pelly.

Stephen said: “I’m delighted to welcome Ryan, Chris and Sam to the RIDBA board. Between them they bring a great mix of knowledge and experience from across our industry, as well as different perspectives that will be invaluable.

“I’d also like to thank Oliver Janes and Stuart Edwards for the time, energy and experience they have given to the board.”

Oliver steps down from the board alongside Stuart Edwards, of Key Projects, who served as a contractor representative. The complete RIDBA board for 2026/27 is:
