The design of the development relates to the provision of a building with a curved roof, bringing together the different operations inside, creating a metaphor for community and togetherness that is symbolic of CFRS’ operations. Increasing it’s efforts to reach out to the local community by creating an inviting place to visit.

Tong Engineering - factory and office facility
Project Type

The new facility comprises of three buildings. Phase one created a 126 metres long, 24 metres wide and 11 metres high street constructed building. While Timmins were instructed to complete the second two builds, the first of equal size and the second a smaller but none less impressive steel office and warehousing building. The building was designed to enable the recycling of heat from within the paint.

The team involved within this project worked extremely hard to keep the project on time and under budget – often having to be resourceful to find materials and negotiate costs when global shortages caused issues with the supply chain and volatile pricing market.

Roundhouse play area

Matlock Farm Park is an open farm and play area located in The Peak District, it’s a family run park with all the trappings of a fun family day out.

The equipment provider had a short window of availability. Lifting the roof over the structure had to be done when there was no wind at all.  Naturally that happened at a weekend when the farm was at its busiest with visitors. The teams managed to do this with hundreds of people watching and without damaging the roof or any of the play equipment which was a massive achievement.
