With over 1,000 subscribers including architects, surveyors, engineers and designers, it is the most circulated magazine within the agricultural and industrial buildings industry and will raise your company profile.
Information – RIDBA provides access to free advice from the RIDBA Technical Consultant, a qualified structural engineer, and issues a monthly e-newsletter helping members to keep up to date with developments and standards.
Discounted Services – RIDBA supports its members by providing a number of free helplines on employment, insurance, health and safety, contracts and general business advice.
A Better Industry – RIDBA provides a strong collective industry voice representing the rural and industrial buildings industry on committees such as HSE, BSI and ACR. RIDBA is also a member of Build UK, which brings together the building supply chain in the UK.
Networking – RIDBA holds regular meetings and events throughout the year to encourage collaborative working across the sector, discuss key issues, improve services and promote best practice. The biannual RIDBA Building Awards recognises and rewards contractors for designing innovative and sustainable farm buildings.
There are five categories of RIDBA membership:
- Frame Manufacturer Members - Members who manufacture steel and timber frames
- Contractor Members - General contractors who engage in ground works, steel erection and cladding
- Supplier Members - Suppliers and manufacturers to the industry
- Affiliate Members - Training providers and professional advisors
- College Members - Colleges and Universities

Download Code of Practice
Contracting corporate members are required to demonstrate that they meet the RIDBA criteria for membership as set out in the Code of Practice. All applications should be made using the RIDBA Application Form for membership submitted with the required supporting documentation.
Applications will be considered by the RIDBA Board whose decision will be final.
